A Case of the Week
Case 77
A forty two-year-old female presented in our outpatient clinic with a letter from a local hospital asking us to investigate her splenic mass incidentally found in the local hospital. Twenty five days ago, she visited the local hospital for nausea, vomiting and fever. Laboratory test at that time revealed white blood cells 47400/mm3, CRP 0.4 mg/dL, hemoglobin 13.5 mg/dL, platelets 350000/mm3, Creatinin 0.7 mg/dL. Abdomen CT showed splenic tumor (Figs 1-3). Based on diagnosis of infectious colitis, she was admitted in the local hospital and her symptoms disappeared. After she was discharged, she visited us for further investigation of splenic mass. She gave us the informed consent to take abdomen MRI (Figs 4-6).
What is probable imaging diagnosis of the splenic mass based on abdomen CT and MRI?
