A Case of the Week
Case 7
A sixty-year-old female came to our hospital with a chief complaint of epigastric pain. There existed a surgical scar of abdomen. She did not comment on the original disease for the previous treatment. Her abdomen was soft. Tenderness of upper abdomen was found. Laboratory test; white blood cells (WBC) 9600/ mm3; CRP 0.2 mg/dl; neutophils 81.6 % (40-71). After abdominal CT, the patient was recommended to admit in our hospital. However, probably because the symptoms were mild, the patient refused our offer. The following day, the patient came to our hospital suffering from nausea after small breakfast of rice gruel. Laboratory test; WBC 10600/ mm3; CRP 0.1 mg/dl; neutophils 83.3 %. The patient received abdominal CT again.
