A Case of the Week
Case 41
An eight-year-old boy came to our hospital for left-sided torticollis. He got mumps approximately forty days ago. He inclined his neck because of painful swollen parotid gland. Since then, his neck had been fixed. He was first given analgesics (Bufferin) for a few days by a local doctor and then, the doctor made him wear a neck collar, but in vain. No neulological deficits were found. The manipulate attempt for neck correction was hindered for pain. He underwent neck radiograph and neck CT for further examination.
